Seven Steps To Heaven
Stealing time from death
Where a lizard with a forked tongue
Scurries over hot sand
To give itself more time
Wonderous words from the sky
coloured sea
Inject life into the gold and black bee
This is the root nature should follow
But of course, much that survives appears hollow
Some moan about the way things
are
That the rain is too wet
And their stars are too far
Stop. You are one step away from death
There is always some being worse
off than you are
Be it a child with no limbs
Or a schizo with no peace or home to go
So. Thank you God for everything and nothing
A place in a dream where conkers
do grow
Small bridges allow creatures over the flow
Where do you think that your future will go
Will you be the sycamore, the seed, or the sand
Everything is everything and
nothing
Where the sun is growth
Where growth is death but also growth
A tree is mud and a birth is the earth
Joyous of this beautiful gift
An emotional white water ride
Some experiences are made in heaven
Which is everything and nothing
