Reaching for Utopia

As the antelope rushes through the air
The religious leaders of the world,
Discuss ways to enhance their position.
The fighting will never stop

- It gives life a meaning,
Which is what is known as god.
We usually inherit a religion,
Through fright or guilt or other,
Those whose sight is that of a sad sun
Will wrap themselves in a blanket of holy words.
If you do not follow the scriptures,
They say that heaven will elude you,

- So die by the sword, religious whores.
Now take a path of evidence
To identify money and weapons and greed.
Surely the belief of a god
Should not be to provoke

- But to protect and to guide.
How can the sceptical followers,
Be pulled in by the fresh carrots?
When the leaders of the holy spheres,
Aim at their opposition evil spears.
Non- religious, believe what is now said,
That when the sin- busters halt sinning
Forgiveness may start the healing,
When the wounds and tears are dry,
The terror is almost nigh.
When the sunrise begins,
forgive them all sins.
This is a message to the proletariat
To stand up for goodness and grace,
To think for themselves,
Instead of allowing the muck-spreaders
To interfere with daily lives.
